Died Before Can Go Home

In Aug 8, 2011 thirty U.S troops, most of them elite Navy SEALS, died when their helicopter was shot down by Afghan militants. War in Afghan has continued for over 10 years as of 2011. The time it lasted is longer than Vietnam War. Just a few weeks ago Obama started his plan of withdrawing troop in Afghan. These 30 soldiers died after a long time waiting and died right before they are allowed to go home. I could not help to cry when I read their pictures one by one. They are so young,so handsome and so brave. They were the most excellent group I ever saw for they all looked so unselfish. They so loved our country and those politicians send them die for nothing.

There are still 100 thousand American soldiers in Afghan. Our beginning goal is to catch bin Latin. Ten years ago Taliban agreed to send bin Latin to United Nation but not to U.S. and we reject the deal. In the name of defending our homeland we started a long time war in Afghan. A few thousand soldiers died since then and after bin Latin was killed in Pakistan not in Afghan we are till stay in that country. We still make more our young lives died for nothing. Obama said “These men and women put their lives on the line for the values that bind us together as a nation.” All these are empty talks! What are our values? Attack anyone who we believe as our enemy? Launch war in the others’ homelands to protect ours? We could not bind as a nation without those young lives dying?

Pentagon spokesman telling us that “we still have the Taliban on the run”. How those running Taliban threaten our homeland? We can never stop their running, can we? Taliban did nothing on 9.11. We consider they are our enemy because they support bin Latin. In this world many people respect bin Latin, should we run after them and kill them all? Start from catching bin Latin we launch two wars. After bin Latin died we still sending our troops to die. We forget our priority goal. We just don’t know what we are doing. It is terrible to send our brave young lives to dead for no reason. Those are the people once so loved this country.
