How to Practice Democracy in China

Two days ago, I listed thing that the Chinese Government did for its people in the last two years. That doesn’t mean I agreed with everything they did. I understand why the Chinese boycott Nobel Prize Commit doesn’t mean that I will do the same things if I was in their position.

China needs democracy more than any other countries because corruption is serious there. In the 50s’ of last century China adopted Marxism which claimed that working people were the masters of a country. In those days Government owned all the businesses that actually made no profit. Salaries people got from the county were about the same. Since everybody lived in poor lives people take it made except felt tired about classes struggles.

In the last thirty years China starts to allow private companies run business in China. Instead of overthrowing capitalists they let some people get rich first. The problem is who should get rich first and how did they get rich?

According to the statistic performed by BCG from Boston in China 0.2% of families, about 670 thousand households, have assets of one million U.S dollars and up. Basically the Chinese not hate the people who are sucess on running business and making investment. However, no one can stand people who got rich by corrupting yet being protected by their privilege in the government. People from so called revolution families sold government’s lands and got paid under the table. They exchanged government’s projects for commission from constructors. People who have no revolution backgrounds buy government’s positions and run away after stealing enough money.

What determines a person to become a government leader and how to how to monitor those leaders’ behaviors become a serious problem in China. In 2010 a trafic accident caused a big attention in China. A guy hit two passengers to die and didn’t When he came back from picking up his girl friend he passed by the place again. He complained that his car was scrach in the accident. He told people didn’t touch him for his father is Li Gang, a head in the policement office of the city. Another news disclosed that a car drove by a man from a local government leader’s family hit a lady in the stree. Instead of appologizing the man beat the lady good and said:” I could kill you. I have enough money to pay the compansation.” The laddy’s daughter jump on the car and didn’t let it moved. A few thousand people surrounded there and smashed the car. It almost created a riot.

Apprently it is people who have previlige and corrupt create unstablity in China. We have to clean them out of the government — take their aseets away and put them in jails. We can let the passionate youth to do the jobs. Enrollining government officers by giving out tests is a good start. A news reported that one saleswoman became an important city’s leader of an economic department simply because in the test she efficiently solve tought problems in real life. It also said, some youths who work in the government disclose corruption in a website and create big attention in China in these days.

It is luck that by law corruption is illegal in China. That makes the evil powers can only hide in the government yet their resistances are desperate and powerful. They protect each other and in spite of killing witness to save themselves. Central government against corruption but is not efficiency enough. That is why people such as Liu Xiao Bo and youth in Tien An Men Square made protesting. We should use these people instead of jailing them.

If I was a Chinese leader, I will let people talk but not allow them to take actions. Basing on the information publics provide we will prosecute corrupted criminals in the government. Government can set up a commit that reports to the central government directly and has passionate professional people work for that. Being back up by one billion people we will be able to clean garbage in the government easily and release public’s anger meanwhile. It should not be difficult to carry policies that reflect one billion people’s wish.

We should not afraid of letting people talk and should not worry for being attack by our enemies. From 1950 to 1980s for thirty years the Chinese Communist Party set up five kinds of enemies and created class struggles with them. That gave China no progress but poverty. After Mao died, they released the enemies in overnight. We saw no threats from enemies at all and have economic prosperous for thirty years. When people see what a government actually do for them they will assist you to improve things but not overthrew you. Or if you set up a good election system being overthrew is not the end of your life. You can take a break, reevaluate thing and get the power back in the next election.

It is luck that some leaders in the Chinese Central government realize the important of practicing democracy. Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jia Bao promised in CNN channel that he would reform Chinese political system till he die. That die means die naturally (when he get old). It also means he is preparing to scarify his life for fighting is fierce there. It is said his trips in the Unit States and Europe were not fully reported in China because his statements were not accepted by all the powers.
On whole, because we are back up by 1.2 billion people we will be able to find an appropriate way to practice democracy in China and maintain stabilities meanwhile. Giving democracy right to 1.2 billion people is a big dedication to the world. Any leader who achieves this will be appreciated by the Chinese forever.
